For over 30 years we have provided patent services for foreign residents living abroad who regard Japan as a target market. Our services cover all parts of the world and they take an average of 2 months for completion. They are offered at competitive rates of 600,000 at average for acquisition of patent.
Currently I’m working with a variety of clients from differently-sized companies, and I’d like to focus on support for protecting the intellectual property of small and medium-sized enterprises in the future. For these enterprises, it’s said that there are surprisingly many companies that don’t know how to acquire and use patents. Emphasis is put on careful communication with clients to ensure there’s deepened mutual understanding between themselves and patent attorneys.
Patents are obtained to justly protect yourself and your company’s rights. New ideas, new products, are countless. Obtaining a granted patent is like obtaining insurance – getting a “usable patent” doesn’t lead to immediate profit. However, there is great benefit in protecting the market share and limiting distribution by legally regulating counterfeit and inferior products. There will be a number of hurdles to overcome before acquisition. This is where we come in.
We negotiate licenses with major companies about acquired patents, or sometimes sell rights when closing business, which may seem a surprising benefit of a patent. I assert the importance in taking anything that should be patented and not taking anything that shouldn’t. Patents are obtained according to the release time of the product, and, in some cases, it is more beneficial not to acquire them at all.
There is always a part in obtaining a patent that functions in terms of securing the trust and promoting effect as well. I want to spread the significance and importance of such patents to small and medium enterprises.
